"I have a new favorite and now I can't wait to teach writing this year!
It is a new book published in 2007 by the IRA. It is called Marvelous
Minilessons for Teaching Beginning Writing
and it is written by
Lori Jamison Rog. This is at least the 5th book I have purchased about writing within the last few years and this is absolutely the best one yet! Unlike many of the other books out there, I can relate to the
stories she writes in her minilessons. I can think of a similar story I
could write about as well. She includes many pages that you can copy to use with your class. I have been doing a writing workshop for several years but after reading this book, I realize that I can do so much more."
